 BIBLE STUDY TOOLS 5PM

This course will give students various tools to enhance their Bible study.  Students will learn the importance of the Holy Spirit when studying God’s Word.  The use of commentaries, concordances, lexicons, dictionaries, encyclopedias, etc., will be discussed and reviewed.  The use of inexpensive software programs or free web-based programs will be examined and used in the classroom.  After completing this class, students will be empowered in their study of God’s Word.

DOCTRINE OF INSPIRATION 5PM

Learn the remarkable story of how God brought together the books of the Old

and New Testaments into our present day Bible and why we can trust our Bible as being the inspired,

inerrant Word of God.

ESCHATOLOGY 5PM

Overview of the last 60 years in relation to Israel and prophecy as well as examining future

events as outlined in Bible prophecy. Major topics covered are the Rapture, the Great Tribulation, the

major players, the Millenium and the all-important question: When will Jesus return?”

HOW TO TEACH THE BIBLE 5PM

This course will help students move from understanding the Word to

communicating it to others. Each student will be taught how to prepare and present brief messages

from the Bible to share with the class. These will be evaluated and reviewed so the student may grow in

their capacity to teach the Word.

MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT 5PM

A study of the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit who regenerates,

fills, directs and empowers every believer. Students will learn about the gifts of the Holy Spirit and how

He ministers to believers in order that they might become victorious and fruitful disciples of Jesus

Christ.

An examination of the spiritual growth stages as outlined in Scripture.

This course will help the student see the various facets of spiritual knowledge and experience involved in

each stage of spiritual development from the new birth through to full spiritual maturity.

25 SIGNS WE ARE NEAR THE END 6:15PM

A real faith-builder, this course will examine the “signs of the times” and

will include the miraculous fulfillment of Bible prophecy in our day. The evidence we will discover will

clearly establish that there is a God who exists, who knows the future, and who has told us certain

things about the future!

This course will equip students with an intellectual defense of the Christian faith. Some of the areas that will be

covered are the inspiration of Scripture, the deity of Jesus Christ and the historicity of His resurrection.

Upon completion of the course, students will be able to present arguments for the faith

and evidence that supports their faith.

This course will give students a new understanding of God’s grace. Students will

learn that God’s love is the greatest source of security a person will ever know. Students will learn that

God’s grace is what transforms their lives into a powerful testimony of the love and wisdom of God.

Testament books. The student will gain a foundational framework of knowledge for each book of the

Develop a level of discernment within the body of Christ concerning what is

and what is not sound doctrine as it relates to the Word of God and ministry. Apply this foundational

wisdom to the challenging issue of finding, attending, and supporting a spiritually healthy church.

Upcoming trimesters


CC DISTINCTIVES:

 This course will help students understand the distinctives of the Calvary Chapel 

philosophy of ministry. Students will learn the centrality of the teaching God’s Word verse by verse, the leading of the Holy Spirit and many other helpful principles for doing ministry. The course will explain why God has allowed the Calvary Chapel movement to exist and grow to a worldwide movement. As we see what makes Calvary Chapel unique, we will also come to better understand how God is using us in the Body of Christ.

 

CCEA MISSIONS:

This course will give students an understanding of the philosophy of missions at CCEA. It will explain our understanding of the Church as God’s Mission Agency and “Serving as Senders.” The student will learn God’s heart for the mission field and the clear mandate to share the gospel with an unsaved world. Upon completion of this course, the students will understand how they can be a vital part of missions at CCEA and share our vision with regard to long and short term missions, support groups, prayer ministry, etc.

 

CHURCH HISTORY:

This course will survey the development of the church from the book of Acts to the present time. The class will touch upon the political, social, and theological issues that surrounded each church age as well as the main people who God used to mold the church.

 

CREATION VS. EVOLUTION:

This course will equip students to understand by God’s Word, the evidences of the supernatural creation model, and to discern the major flaws in the theory of evolution.

 

Identity in Christ:

 This course will examine who we are in Christ and why it is important to know, understand, and believe those truths in our daily lives. Students will walk away from this course with a greater experience of the transforming power of being “In Christ”.
